About Me

I am Letian Wang, a PhD candidate and lecturer for 364.500 KV Special Topics Game Design & Development and 364.034/364.036 UE Computer Graphics Lab at Johannes Kepler University. I am an honourary (first-class) graduate of Interactive Digital Media (M.Sc.) at the School of Computer Science, Trinity College Dublin. Before that, I had a BA in Film and Journalism.

My research interest in general is design immersive experiences for different purposes. Projects I involved include storyline visualization for esports player, VR escape room for mental health education, and interactive experience for digital heritage. I have published papers in the field of HCI, Computer Graphics and Digital Humanities. I am also serving as a reviewer for CHI and Foundations of Digital Games (FDG) conference as well as the journal digital scholarships in humanities.

I used to be a film director and screen writer for game (see example script). I also had experiences crafting immersive and interactive stories, both with web and VR. In addition, I had experience setting up a game with Arduino kits and am interested in explore its use in different scenarios. My hobby includes playing games, photography, travelling and cosplay. You will also see some of my artworks in this site.
